Education is the reason youth are not taking part in Agriculture!

In India, Agriculture contributes around 60-70 percent population. where people are engaged in agriculture and other agriculture-related activities. In the early or mid 90 people usually engaged in agriculture for their survival then the barter system was introduced where people could exchange their goods for their living. As time passes, the need of people increases they start producing their goods at the commercial level so that they can fulfill their needs. 

As days pass people become more aware, that they are searching for a better lifestyle and traditional agriculture can't fulfill their daily requirements and growth so they switch to various other sectors secondary and tertiary. and with this, we, the youth of our country don't have any idea we have deviated so much from our roots. 

Apart from earning money, youth feel somewhere embarrassed to take agriculture as their career. Even though only 0.4 million students pursue agriculture only 0.1 percent are very keen to do something in agriculture rest 80-90 percent people change their path like banking and doing other private jobs. 

With the growing population of India, it is enough to fulfill the needs of billions of people with a contribution of only 0.1 percent of people in agriculture? I think No.!!!

So what we can do? As we all know education is the most powerful tool that we can use to change the world, but if we use this "brahmastra" in our agriculture then it will bring a huge revolution in our country. In a country like India, where the youth population is higher compared to other countries, We have to understand our power, and with the knowledge our mindset, and our innovative ideas we can make a huge difference in our agriculture sector, even government is also providing us various schemes like startup entrepreneurship, PMUY, and many more. 

So, let's make agriculture our noble profession where no one feels ashamed to pursue it as their prime career choices!!
