Digital Detox!

We as humans focus on so many things when it comes to our physical appearance because nowadays everyone wants to look good, and for that women usually go to saloons, and parlors, dress well obviously "jaise dikhte ho, vaisa hi log sochte apko lekr! that's why with this mindset people usually focus so much on their physical appearance and how they look! they can do anything to look good, from drinking bitter beetroot juice for good skin to cycling in the early morning to look fit! People usually try so many things. Even in recent years, people have started focussing on their mental health as well, because anxiety and depression are becoming more severe than physical disability. After all, it can't be shown or detected. Even a person suffering from it doesn't realize its initial stage until it's become severe and noticed by everyone from anger, loudness, etc.

There are many reasons for this, like relationship, family, career, and so on! But most importantly as our world becomes digitalized.  It connects people around the world to cyber attacks! Everything has its pros and cons! In this competitive environment where everyone wants to be on top, look beautiful, and have so many followers on their social sites nowadays, It is super important to keep our mental health as our first priority otherwise it becomes a severe issue because "Prevention is better than cure!"

Now the question arises how do we detox or save our mental health from these Digital Monsters? We have so many options we use ginger, basal leaves, ayurvedic medicines, and endless things to detox our physical from chemicals but we get blank when we have to detox our mental health from harmful digitalization. Isn't?

Digital detoxing is a process of intentionally reducing or eliminating the use of digital devices to improve mental well-being. Here are some steps you can take to implement a digital detox for better mental health:

1. Set Clear Goals: Define the purpose of your digital detox. Whether it's to reduce stress, improve sleep, or enhance focus, having a clear goal will help you stay motivated.

2. Create Boundaries: Establish specific timeframes or zones where digital devices are not allowed. This could be during meals, an hour before bedtime, or during certain activities.

3. Identify Problematic Apps or Platforms: Identify the apps or platforms that contribute most to your digital stress. Consider deleting or limiting your use of these applications.

4. Schedule Screen-Free Time: Allocate specific time blocks during the day when you'll be completely offline. Use this time for activities that promote relaxation, such as reading a book, going for a walk, or spending time with loved ones.

5. Set Notification Limits: Reduce the frequency of notifications on your devices. Turn off non-essential notifications to minimize distractions and interruptions.

6. Create a Tech-Free Bedroom: Make your bedroom a tech-free zone. Avoid using electronic devices at least an hour before bedtime to improve the quality of your sleep.

7. Establish Tech-Free Rituals: Develop daily rituals that don't involve screens, such as meditation, journaling, or enjoying a cup of tea. These activities can help you unwind without relying on digital devices.

8. Engage in Offline Hobbies: Rediscover or explore offline hobbies and activities that bring you joy and relaxation. This could be anything from painting and gardening to playing a musical instrument.

9. Prioritize Face-to-Face Interaction: Make an effort to spend more time with friends and family in person. Face-to-face interactions can provide a deeper sense of connection and support.

10. Evaluate and Reflect: Regularly assess the impact of your digital detox on your mental health. Reflect on changes in your mood, sleep patterns, and overall well-being.

  1. If going completely offline feels overwhelming, consider starting with smaller steps. Gradually reduce screen time and increase offline activities over time!
