WATER CRISIS!!

        #WATER CRISES!

A Drop of water is Worth more than a sack of gold to a thirsty Man!

Water Crises is a situation where the available potable, unpolluted water within a region is less than that region's demand. In places with low rainfall or limited access to surface water, reliance on aquifers is commonplace. The exploitation of groundwater resources can threaten future water supplies if the rate of withdrawal from aquifers exceed the rate of natural recharge. It is estimated that a third of the world’s largest aquifer systems are in distress. In addition, the redirection overuse and pollution of rivers and lakes for irrigation, industry and municipal uses can result in significant environment harm and collapse of ecosystems. A classic example of this is the Aral sea which was once the world’s Fourth largest body of inland water but has shrunk to a fraction of its former size because of the division of its inflowing rivers for agricultural irrigation. Nowadays India is facing water crisis very deeply. One part of India that is North facing the situation of flood and another part of India which is south facing the situation of drought. But irony is that, Water, water everywhere, but there is no water to drink!

Now the question arises, As a Youth of our Country how we, individually help our Country to overcome this problem? As individually we can conserve rainwater through rainwater harvesting on our roof top. Secondly a rain barrel is one of the most effective and widely used ways to save water. We can save wastewater generated from RO water purifiers. This wastewater is utilised for gardening the plants and other activities. Last but not the least  River doesn’t carry water, it carry lives! Remember!
